There are
occasions Mashallah that if you're honest if you're truthful you will have a
better clientage in the long run it will benefit you in business it will give
you more profit but I do agree with you that by corruption by cheating many people
make a lot of profit but for a Muslim Allah says in the Quran:
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَٱلْحَيَوٰةَ
لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًۭا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْغَفُورُ
He is the One˺ Who created death and life in order to test
which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Almighty, All-Forgiving. (Quran chapter 67 verse 2)
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا
تَأْكُلُوٓا۟ أَمْوَٰلَكُم بَيْنَكُم بِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ
تِجَـٰرَةً عَن تَرَاضٍۢ مِّنكُمْ ۚ
O believers! Do
not devour one another’s wealth illegally, but rather trade by mutual
consent. (Quran chapter 4 verse 29)
وفي رواية له أن رسول الله صلى الله
عليه وسلم مر على صبرة طعام، فأدخل يده فيها، فنالت أصابعه بللا، فقال: "
ما هذا ياصاحب الطعام؟" قال أصابته السماء يارسول الله، قال: "
أفلا جعلته فوق الطعام حتى يراه الناس! من غشنا فليس منا".
The
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) happened to pass by a heap of corn. He thrust his hand in that
(heap) and his fingers felt wetness. He said to the owner of that heap of corn,
"What is this?" He replied: "O Messenger of Allah! These have
been drenched by rainfall." He remarked, "Why did you not place this
(the drenched part of the heap) over the corn so that people might see it? He
who deceives is not of us. (Book Riyadus-Saliheen 1579)
وعنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، قال: " لا تناجشوا" ((متفق عليه)).
The
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Do not practice Najis (to cheat).”.(Book
Riyadus-Saliheen 1580)
Allah has created
that in life to test which of you is good in deeds this life that we're leading
is a test for the hereafter and Allah is testing you how do you lead your life and
Allah says in the Quran that if you seek this dunia Allah will give you this dunia
but will not give you akhirah but if you seek for the akhirah Allah will give
you akhirah and the dunia so as a Muslim you should not involve in any activity
which is haram you cannot do corruption you cannot tell lies you cannot
fabricate I am aware that in many businesses if you lie you get a better profit
if you cheat you get a better profit if you fabricate but as I told you this is
not the case always in the long run if you're honest you benefit more if you're
honest the clients keep on trusting you better irrespective whether it benefits
you in this world or not as a Muslim if you follow the teachings of the Quran being
honest do not cheat in the weights do not cheat in the measurement do not lie
be truthful if you do this you will benefit in akhirah and Allah will even give
you benefit in this world and that's the reason we find that many of the Muslims who are very strict to Quran and
sunnah they may not be very well qualified in the business acumen but because
they follow Quran and sunnah you find that the business flourishes a lot and
irrespective whether you benefit. (Allah knows better) May Allah reward you [with] goodness.
